Maria: invenisti eni^
gratiam apud deum.
Ecce concipies in utero
et paries filium: et vo
cabis nomen eius ihe
sum. Hic erit magnu^
et filius altissimi vo
cabitur. Et dabit illi
dominus deus. sedem
david patris eius et re
gnabit in domo iacob
ineternum. Et regni
eius non erit finis. Di

In illo tempore (At that time)
Missus est angelus Gabrihel a Deo (the angel Gabriel was sent from God) in civitatem Galilaeae cui nomen Nazareth (into a city in Galilee whose name was Nazareth)
ad virginem desponsatam viro (to a virgin who was engaged to a man) cui nomen erat Ioseph de domo David (and the man's name was Joseph from the house of David) et nomen virginis Maria (and the name of the virgin was Maria.)
Et ingressus angelus ad eam (And the angel stepping forth to her)

dixit have gratia plena Dominus tecum benedicta tu in mulieribus (said "Hello, grace, the Lord is with you, you blessed among women.")
Quae cum audisset turbata est in sermone eius (When she heard it she was upset in the heart about the angel's talk) et cogitabat qualis esset ista salutatio (and wondered what was this greeting.)
Et ait angelus ei ne timeas Maria invenisti enim gratiam apud Deum (And the angel said to her "don't fear Maria, for you have found grace in front of God.")
Ecce concipies in utero et paries filium et vocabis nomen eius Iesum ("Look, you will conceive a child in your belly and give birth to a son and call his name Jesus.")
Hic erit magnus (He will become great) et Filius Altissimi vocabitur (and will be called the son of the highest) et dabit illi Dominus Deus sedem David patris eius (and lord the God will give him the seat of his father David.)
Et regnabit in domo Iacob in aeternum (And he will reign in the house of Jacob eternally) et regni eius non erit finis (and of his kingdom there will be bo end.)
